These photos were taken up on the mountain top at over 11,000 feet. Hoosier Pass is the name of it, I believe....although I stand to be corrected. Ha.
It was so cold.....I mean.....VERY COLD!!! I didn't have my gloves on because I needed to make the correct adjustments on the camera....so, my hands were near frost bit in the matter of minutes.....I would take a picture and then run to the car to stick my hands in front of the heater that was on full blast.....my poor husband was doing his best to accommodate me, but, I feared he would get blown over by the wind blowing all of the snow around and I would lose him forever!!!! LOL!
As you can see, that is snow blowing in the above photo.....and it was fierce! But, the experience of being in that situation was exhilarating....to say the least. My adrenaline was flowing enough to get me back out of the car for more. Ha
This was the view in front of the car. I totally forgot about magic hour......it wouldn't have served me any help because of the weather. 6 degrees it was up there.
There was a path to walk through the trees at the left of this photo....but, I was too chicken for that kind of adventure......I could barely stand up on the packed area with my camera.......
Too add to my happy misery...my left big toe was froze numb and I would have not made it another 5 minutes....LOL!
I love adventure.....don't you???
Over and out,
