God's Blessings

March 23, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

Please forgive me......I've been a little "behind" schedule.    Pardon the pun.  I couldn't help myself.

Spring is for sure popping up around the farm.....flowers are beginning to show signs of life......the garden is being planted....along with an herb garden....(I'll post pic's at a later date)

My mother-n-law has been very busy getting all of the yummies in the ground......I can't wait until we get the fruits on the vines to get some pretty little shots of bright colored veggies.

Guess who is showing signs of life already?????????

Yep! Penny Mac!!  I caught her with a hint of a blossom in it's budding stage yesterday!  My heart jumped.  I thought.."already??????"  I just put her in the pot a few days ago.

I've been feeding her all the acidic - ness I can manage......within her limits.   I am hoping for a blue bloom.  At least once this summer.

I'll keep you posted on her progress.

Little miniature roses have been potted to provide a smile in different corners of the yard.....primroses are popping up at my sis-n-laws back door for the first time in a long time.

Peach trees and a plum tree are blooming for the first time.  Hoping they provide fruit this year.

It's like a new lease on life......a sign that through the tough times and seasons....God does still give freely His grace and tenderness.  He provides a sweet perfume and beauty in His creations.

Each is a blessing. A gift.

I'm thankful to be able to stop and enjoy the simple things in life.    To be able to live "abnormal" ...meaning....the rest of the world lives in a hustle bustle....that is their "norm".

I've said before, give me laugh lines instead of worry lines any day.

Even the geese know when it's time to have an evening soak and forget about their troubles.

Matilda was off in her pen laying an egg apparently yesterday....So, Brown Sugar decided it was time to "take a load off" and hog the "swimming pool" in the chicken yard.

She literally stayed there about 30 minutes.  I walked one direction and past the yard......came back about 15 minutes later...still there.....went another direction...came back about 10 minutes or so ...still there.

I was like....."we have a huge pond.....I just don't get it why you want to confine yourself to a "bucket" to dip your webbed feet in!"......

Her response???......a very low grunt........like " oh hush....this is my time. My place...get outta my space!!"

Well, off for now.

Oh guess what????????   I ordered my new red boots!  Yep, patent leather red!

They have shipped and will more than likely be here next week.......I'll post as soon as they come in!!!!  I'm so excited.

Over and out,

Mrs. Rogers
