I love pretty bridges.....when the opportunity arises...I'll take a shot...( or more likely 20!) to get nice little photo.
Some bridges are pretty sturdy, but, rough looking......like old suspension bridges....they seem to stick around forever. Some, are all fancy, but, have no endurance.
Kinda like life. Old friends that have been "through the mill" with ya...tend to stick around a long time and that friendship has stood the test of time.... been forgiving of things that other friendships couldn't last through.
Acquaintances that have it all together on the outside.....don't last for the long haul.
Our relationship with God can be whatever kind of bridge we decide to build........it can endure until the end and earn some grit......or we can put on the array of the world around us and be swept away by the troubled waters that life's storm can bring.
It all depends on how deep you build your pillars in God. How rooted are you? Can you survive a storm that threatens to take your very soul to a place of complete destruction? Can you stand the weight and pressure of life that can threaten to suffocate your belief and trust in God?
Just my thoughts for today as I was editing a few of these bridge shots.
