Signs of spring are steadily arising on the farm.
This morning I grabbed my camera and walked around the pond and fired off a few shots......as I was walking around the backside of the pond....I stopped to just simply listen.
As I stood there, the sweet sounds of chick-a-dees, titmice, red birds and robins were all around. Then, the breeze began to blow in the pine tree tops. For about 2 moments, that's all I heard.....the tree tops blowing and the birds chirping. I have to say, it was the best sound I have heard in a long time.......I mean, when you are dreaming about a woman singing out long bluesy notes in your sleep and you wake up to find out that one of the red hens next door in the hen house was the culprit to the lonely sounds....you suddenly are ready to wake up and go for that cup of coffee!
Later on this afternoon as I was finishing picking up sticks around the yard and other yard-work we decided to do today, I ran across this sole hyacinth....I had to snap a few shots....and then I moved onto the little trees blooming.
And then, as we were walking to the pond to finish out the day....with camera still in hand....I ran across some wild mustard greens growing out of no where......never know what you will find around here.
Today was a wonderful day....we got a lot done. It felt like a true spring day.
Over and out,
