Happy Mother's Day Mom!

I love my mom......not enough can be said about how she managed to raise three kids and .....{ with a little clearing of my throat }.....my dad too.

Now, she has a son - n - law to keep in line.....and boy, does he give her a run for her money.

There was not a day in my life as a kid that I didn't hear the statement.." I have eyes in the back of my head and Jesus is watching too...you can't get away with anything!!".....

I will say in honest regards to that statement......that it was faithfully directed to my two brothers.

Keeping us in line at all times.....she kept us well groomed and dressed "to the nines".   People accused her of not letting us be kids and allowing us to get a little dirt under our finger nails........but, what they didn't know is that at home......we were told to stay outside and not run in and out of the door since we were so dirty from playing in the back yard all day....and if it rained....we spent our time under the patio .....playing our "imaginative" games.

It's okay....you know you played "imaginary" games too...probably had an imaginary friend........Now, THAT I didn't have because I had two younger brothers to keep me on my toes.

As for my dad...well, the most famous two words I will continue to hear in my life...is "Yes Dear".   That is all that is required to keep her happy and everybody aware that he still backs her up with those famous last words.

Never asking much in return...only continuing to give to her family and making sure that everyone is happy and well.......Mom still hovers with her watchful eyes....and the additional two in the back of her head.

Trust me....it has worked all of these years.   One of my sister n laws caught onto it when her three were finally born and began using the phrase...

I kid you not......her three....are identical to me and my two brothers......and they "walk the line".

All that said.....Happy Mother's Day Mom.......I know there is so much more to be said..but, we will discuss that at lunch today.  Ha.

Your daughter......
