As The Farm Grows.....

Yesterday evening  I was out on a photo shoot for a couple of friends.....and Bubba texted me and said we had two visitors at home.....it never hit me...even when he said...."Demi & Doo-little".

Still didn't ring a bell.

I drove up my driveway....parked.....about to open the door to our little cabin.....and I heard....."MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Bubba opened the door at about the same time I heard the "vocalization" of our "guests"......

And I looked at him.......and he said..."Yep.......the cows are here."

If I wouldn't have been so tired at that very moment and in need of a bite to eat and a shower, I would have raced out to greet them.

Later,    we took a flash light out and said "hello" to Demi & Doo-little.

This afternoon, I made their official, first portraits.......my welcoming to the "new family members".

I slowly walked into the new pen we made for them......until they get adjusted to their new home......and I'm not sure if they new what to think about the little lady with the camera in her hand....pointing at them as if they were "hollywood beef".

They mooed....and started walking towards me....I ever so kindly....backed away.....and giggled.

Giggled....because that ring in Doo-little's nose made me laugh.      I didn't know what to think.

I let them make their way to the trough .......and they ate.........and ate.

He nudged her out of his his so he could eat her left overs.      Poor Demi.

Doo-little finally came over to the fence .......I was on the outside by this time.....and he actually let me scratch his nose.

And take his picture of his big eye's.

It's kind of neat having a couple of cute little cowhides roaming around.

I was on my porch later this afternoon and I heard a "manly" crow.....guess who it was?????!!!!

OSCAR!!  I was so excited to hear him greet me.

He was in the chicken yard and was looking right at me as if to say..."glad to see you too!"

He showed up a bit later for "bread call".

He's looking so handsome in his "crown of fire" on his head.

He seems to be a "gentleman" ......and the friendly type.

I hope he stays around for a while.

Well,   time to get back to work..........

Over and out,

Mrs. Rogers
