There is such a place called......Uncertain, Tx

Our 2nd Anniversary brought a few interesting twists.....one adventure landed us in a little town called....Uncertain.

Yes, there is such a place.

Go ahead and twist around with it...........

"everything's uncertain...in Uncertain"......

"where are you headed?"..........." Uncertain."

"one thing is certain..........I've been to Uncertain."

Yes.....we really had fun with that one.

What was really interesting to me......as a photographer....... were the cypress trees.....and the moss.

The moss....something about how it gently drapes from the trees and suspends like curtains.

I love pretty trees...and these were interesting to photograph.

It's an adventure for sure going to places you've never even heard of.......and doing things you never thought were possible.....

On that thought.....I let Bubba take the first dip in the canoe to test the swampy water.....

Happy Anniversary Dear!!

He looks pretty lonely in that little red canoe.....don't ya think?

I eventually joined him......totally scared out of my mind.....and yes.....the camera set very still in my lap while I let him do all the paddling.

It's a little intimidating to sit so close to that water in a very narrow piece of fiberglass.....but, with his gentle counsel.....I succeeded....and even went for a ride the next morning.......as did our other friends that were with us.

And honestly....I think I can do it again........I think I can...I think I can....I think I can.

Bubba and Roger went fishing........after they finally put some interesting fishing gear together...

which seemed to be a bit of a chore.....

since we really weren't prepared to fish.

But, when you are having so much fun......even an old cane pole and a piece of bobbing hung in a tree limb can be exactly what you need.

For such a time as this.

Yes, they actually caught a couple of fish.........little fish......like....really little fish.

Another interesting subject were the Egrets hanging around and doing their own style of fishing........

Bubba grabbed a camera at one point and decided it was time that I was included in a shot.

Honestly,  I really don't mind staying behind the camera at all times......but, I left one unattended........

It was nice photographing trees that aren't like the ones we have at home...the typical Texas Pine.

Before I fail to mention.....

Every morning  we awoke........to the sound of.........silence.

No roosters,  no chickens......no cows mooing........I don't even remember birds chirping.

Can't say I missed it.

I'll write later about the rest of our Anniversary trip.

Until then........

Over and out,

Mrs. Rogers
